Descaling Restores Flow
Descaling cast iron pipe or removing scale build up in cast iron pipe is becoming more common. There are two different ways to approach this: wet or dry. Roberts plumbing Hydro Jet & Rooter currently uses the wet approach utilizing a hydro jetter accompanied with a special jetting nozzle that rotates a chain inside the pipe. The chain is cut to length to insure a proper cleaning of the interior pipe walls. When using this method the pipe is being flushed with the water at the same time. Removing scale from cast iron pipe can be a time-consuming task, but it can save a lot of money for the customer as they can avoid digging and replacing pipes and sometimes even avoiding costly pipe lining .
